The antenatal clinic is midwife run. The aim
of the clinic is to ensure a healthy pregnancy and to detect problems early.
A doctor's surgery runs along side the midwife's clinic and occasionally
you may be referred across for a doctor's opinion (usually in relationship
to problems not directly related to your pregnancy, but which are affected
by it.)
The doctor will normally see mothers 6 weeks after delivery for a
routine check (The baby is usually seen for a routine check at 8 weeks in
the Well Baby Clinic).
