Patients who are known to have diabetes are sent appointments two or
three times per year as appropriate.
Patients with diabetes have an increased risk of developing complications
such as strokes, heart attacks, nerve damage, kidney damage and eye
problems. The aim of the clinic is to reduce the risk of these complications
by improving the control of the diabetes.
If the appointment time sent is
inconvenient, please phone Sr Snee as soon as possible so the appointment
can be given to someone else. Similarly, patients with diabetes who have
problems with the medication or with the diabetes itself should speak with
Sr Snee who will either offer advice or make an appointment.
